Frito Pie

 

Frito Pie




1LB Ground Beef
1 onion (diced finely)
1 packet Taco Seasoning
1 cup Chili Sauce
1 cup Medium Salsa
1 (15oz) can Kidney Beans (rinsed)
2 teaspoons Chili Powder
1/2 teaspoon Pepper
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
2 teaspoon Garlic (minced)
1 1/2 cup Monterey Jack Cheese (shredded)
1 1/2 cup Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
4 cups Corn Chips


Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare 9x13 baking dish with spray, set aside. 
2. In a Large skillet over medium heat cook ground beef, drain.
3. Add onions and garlic, stir together. Cook for 5-7 minutes. Until onions are tender and translucent.
4. Add taco seasoning, chili sauce, medium salsa, kidney beans, chili powder, pepper, salt, onion powder and garlic powder. Let simmer 3-5 minutes.
5. Pour meat mixture into greased baking pan. spread evenly. 
6. Top with 1/2 of the cheeses. Then top with corn chips. Then add remaining chips.
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Easy Peanut Brittle

 
Easy Peanut Brittle




Ingredients

2 cups granulated Sugar
1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup
1/2 cup Water
6 T unsalted Butter (cubed)
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 1/2 cups Roasted Peanuts

Directions

1. Line a lipped baking sheet with foil and spray with non stick spray, set aside.
2. To a medium saucepan, add the sugar, corn syrup and water. Add in the candy thermometer to the pan making sure it touches the mixture. Boil over medium heat and then continue to boil until the mixture is golden brown and reaches 340 degrees. about 15 minutes. Remove from heat stir in peanuts.
3. Pour mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly with silicone spoon working quickly let to set.
4. Let harden at room temp about 30 minutes. Break into pieces.

1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

2. Arrange the Bacon on cookie sheet. Do not overlap.

3. Bake for about 20 minutes.

4. Transfer to Plate Lined with Paper Towel.

Ingredients

1 (6-7 oz) package Muffin Mix
1 egg
2/3 cup Milk (start with lightly less gradually add)

Directions

1. Preheat griddle on medium low.
2. In a medium bowl, use whisk combine muffin mix, eggs and milk.
3. Place about 2 tablespoons of mixture onto preheated griddle. Cook for 2 minutes on each side.

Ingredients

1 cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
1 cup Lukewarm Water
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
 2 Tablespoon White Vineagar

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease an 8 inch square baking dish, set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk sugar, oil, water and vanilla together until combined.
3. Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
4. Whisk to combined.
5. Add the vinegar and stir just until combined. Don't over stir.
6. Pour into prepared pan.
7. Bake 25-30 minutes

Ingredients

1 lb Italian Sausage 
1 Jar Alfredo Sauce
1 box bow tie pasta
1 (4 oz) Mozzarella Cheese (shredded)

Directions

1. Prepare your noodles as directed on package.
2. Brown sausage, drain.
3. Add Sauce to sausage. 
4. Mix in noodles with sausage mix.
5 Put in a casserole dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
6. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Ingredients

1 cup Butter
2 cups Sugar
3 cups Flour (sifted)
3 teaspoons Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Milk
8 egg whites (beaten)

Directions

1. Mix together all ingredients egg mixed in last.
2. Place in 3 circle pans or 9x13 inch baking dish.
3. Bake at 45 minutes.

Ingredients

3 cup Self - Rising Flour
3 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
1 (12 oz) Beer (any kind)
4 Tablespoons Butter (melted)

Directions

1. In a mixing bowl, stir together flour and sugar. Then add the beer; mix until well combined.
2. Place into prepared Loaf Pan. (I used a 8x8 because before adding it to the loaf pan, I dropped my loaf pan on the floor breaking it)
3. Pour melted butter onto of mixture. Do Not Stir
4. Bake 375 degrees for 45-50 minutes.

Ingredients

1 box Stuffing Mix
1 LB Ground Beef
2 Eggs
1/2 cup Ketchup
1/2 cup Milk


Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare loaf pan.
2. Mix together stuffing mix, ground beef, eggs, milk and ketchup.
3. Place in a loaf pan. Top with ketchup.
4. Baked Uncovered 45 -60 minutes.

Philly Cheese steak Casserole

 

Philly Cheese Steak Casserole


Ingredients

1 1/2 LB Ground Beef
2 Bell Peppers (bite size pieces)
1/2 Onion (bite size pieces)
1/2 Garlic Clove
1 teaspoon Seasoned Salt
4 Slices Provolone cheese
4 Eggs
1/4 cup Heavy Cream
1 teaspoon Hot Sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x9 baking dish.
2. Dice green bell peppers, onions, and mince garlic.
3. Add ground beef to a pan and heat of medium. Add green bell pepper mixture to pan. Saute until meat is brown and peppers are tender, drain.
4. In a bowl combine eggs, heavy cream, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce stir to combine.
5. Place meat mixture into dish, then top with egg mixture. Top with provolone cheese.
6. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes.

Apricot Baked Chicken

 

Apricot Baked Chicken




Ingredients

4 Chicken Breasts (boneless - Skinless)
1 teaspoon Season Salt
1 cup Apricot Preserves
1 teaspoon Fresh Thyme (chopped)

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Prep a baking dish.
2. Arrange chicken on the bottom of the baking dish. Sprinkle with seasoning salt, and any other seasoning you desire. set aside.
3. Add the apricot preserves to a microwave safe bowl. Microwave 10 seconds to lightly warm and loosen. Add Thyme.
4. Evenly spread mixture over chicken.
5. Cover with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes. Remove foil and baste chicken with juices.
6. Bake uncovered for another 15 minutes uncovered.

National Peanut Butter Day - Jan 24th - Easy Peanut Butter Blossoms




Ingredients

1 (15.25) box Yellow Cake Mix
1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1/4 cup Butter (melted)
2 eggs 
1/2 cup Sugar
40 Hershey Kisses

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper or non stick cooking spray.
2. Pour the cake mix in a large bowl, stir in eggs, melted butter and peanut butter. Stir to well combined. 
3. Scoop cookie dough with scoop make 1 Tablespoon rolled balls.
4. Then Roll the cookie balls into sugar, place on cookie sheet.
5. Bake 9-10 minutes until edged are set.
6. Immediately after removing place a Hershey kiss on top for each cookie. Allow cookies to cool.

Ingredients

1 cup Powdered Sugar
1 Cup Peanut Butter
1 Tablespoon Vanilla 
1 (8 oz) Cream cheese (softened)
1 Tube Cool Whip
1 Graham Cracker Crusts

Directions

1. Cream together peanut butter and cream cheese together.
2. Add in Powdered Sugar and Vanilla. Mix to combine. 
3. Fold in Cool Whip.
4. Add Mixture to graham cracker crusts. 
5. Refrigerate over night!

2 packages crescent rolls
1 package Lil' Smokies

Directions

1. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.
2. Unroll crescent rolls, each triangle slice in half.
3. Take one smokies and roll up one of the triangles. Place on cookie sheet.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes.

Easy Shepard Pie




Ingredients

1/2 (13 oz) box Mashed Potatoes (plus ingredients)
1 lb Ground Beef
1 (12 oz) bag frozen Mixed Vegetables
1 (10.5 oz) can Tomato Soup
1 (1.5 oz) packet Beef Stew Mix
1/2 cup Water
1-2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare casserole dish.
2. Prepare Mashed Potatoes according to package directions. Set aside.
3. Brown the ground beef on medium heat in large skillet, drain.
4. Add tomato soup, frozen mixed vegetables, beef stew mix, and 1/2 cup water. Stir and simmer for 5-10 minutes on low heat.
5. Spread ground beef mixture onto bottom of casserole dish. Spread mashed potatoes over top and sprinkle with cheese.
6. Bake uncovered 30 minutes

Crock Pot - Swedish Meatball

 

Crock Pot - Swedish Meatballs 





Ingredients

1 (10.25 oz) can Cream of Mushroom Soup
2 cups Beef Broth
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tablespoon Steak Sauce
1/2 teaspoon Paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 (28 oz) Frozen Meatballs
1 cup Sour Cream

Directions

1. In a large bowl mix the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth with a whisk.
2. Add the remaining seasoning to mix. 
3. Add the meatballs to the crock pot.
4. Add the mixture to the meatballs and stir.
5. Cook on high for 4 hours.
6. Add the sour cream, mixing it well. Allow to cook another 30 minutes.

Can be served over rice, noodles or mashed potatoes.

I Mixed my noodles in the Swedish Meatballs! Delicious.

1 (16 oz) Angel Food Cake (Just add water mix)
1 (21 oz) can Strawberry Pie Filling mix
Cool Whip (Optional)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a large bowl mix together angel food cake mix and strawberry pie filling. Stir to combine.
3. Place in 9x13 in baking dish.
4. Bake 35-45 minutes. (The Cake will Fall in the middle)
5. Once cooled add cool whip is desired

1 stick butter
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cups milk
3/4 cup self rising flour
2 cup Peaches

Directions

1. Melt butter in oven at 350 degrees in a 9x13 pan.
2. In a large bowl mix together sugar and flour. Then add milk stir until well incorporated.
3. Pour mixture into pan, DO NOT STIR.
4. Pour fruit on top.
5. Bake for 1 hour.

1 can Lemon Pie Filling

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9x13 casserole dish.
2. In a large bowl, mix angel food cake and lemon pie filling together.
3. Pour baking dish.
4. Bake for 20-35 minutes.

National Butter Crunch Day - Jan 20 - Butterfinger Cookies





Today for National Butter Crunch Day, When I think of Butter Crunch I like of Butterfingers. So me and my family are making Butterfinger Cookies. This is a easy recipe to make.

Ingredients

1 (13.25 oz) Butter Yellow Cake Mix
1/3 cup Melted Butter 
2 large Eggs
1 2/3 cup Butterfinger Baking Bites (or chopped up Butterfinger Candy bars)


Directions

1. Combine cake mix, melted butter and egg in a large bowl.
2. Stir in butterfinger bits with wooden spoon to combine.
3. Cover dough and chill 2 hours. 
4. Once dough has chilled, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
5. Roll dough into a 1 1/2 round ball and place on cookie sheet.
6. Bake for 7-13 minutes.

Our family loves cheese, so for National Cheese Loves Day we are going to be making our famous Hamburger Rice and Cheese (you can get recipe here). 




Its one of the cheesiest meals that I could think of making. No matter what cheese that you like enjoy its today with your family.

Big Mac Tater Tot Casserole







Ingredients

1 lb Ground Beef
1 small onion (chopped)
1/2 cup dill pickles (chopped)
1 cup Lettuce (shredded)
1 cup Tomatoes (diced)
1 Cup Tater Tots
salt and pepper to taste

Special Sauce

1/2 cup Mayo 
2 Tablespoons Ketchup
1 Tablespoon Mustard
1 Tablespoon Sweet Pickle Relish
1 teaspoon White Vinegar 
1 teaspoon Sugar
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 
2. In a large skillet cook ground beef and chopped onion until meat is browned. Drain.
3. In a small bowl mix special sauce ingredients together, set aside.
4. In a 9x13 in casserole dish prepared with cooking spray. Add Ground beef spread evenly on bottom of pan. Sprinkle with dill pickles over the top.
5. Pour special sauce over the pickles.
6. Arrange tatter tots on top then sprinkle with cheese.
7. Bake 20-25 minutes.
8. Serve with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese (optional)

One of our families favorite popcorn is G.H. Cretors Cheese and Caramel mix. So for National Popcorn Day we are going to celebrate with a Bag of popcorn and Snuggle up and watch our favorite popcorn.

If you haven't tried G.H. Cretors, You can pick up at Walmart, Target or on their site by clicking here. They do offer many different flavors. Our family just enjoys the Cheese and Caramel Version.

1 block Velveeta Cheese
1 can evaporated Milk
1 stick butter
6 LB Deli Shaved Ham

Directions

1. Melt cheese, butter and milk in a pan.
2. Lay ham in crock pot and pour mixture over ham.
3. Cook low on 3 hours. Stirring occasionally.
